The voices in the background at the beginning of the song are immediately doting to a lovely and soft choir of many angels - then the brilliant flow goes towards a ballade to cover this beautiful Beatles' song seen in the midst of the streets of Liverpool where it all started…. Bright idea! Thanks to Cyberangels I get to muse over the good times I had in Liverpool!

The piano holds the entire song into a smooth position, this is why it sounds so good, because this particular song is very difficult to sing alone.... remember the original is sung by the entire Beatles' group, aside that the singer's voice is amazing!!

No offence, but that singer deserves to be singing a song that's actually good. Yellow Submarine has atrocious LSD-childish lyrics and a tune that is so simple that it's got annoying by the end of the first verse.

Her voice is lovely and could be applied to any number of classic songs, but to choose this which is one of the worst songs of all time by the most overrated band of all time is a stunning waste of her time.

  Ditto!! Aside of what you said, it made me snooze off! But I've heard Amanda Mabro in other songs of her own composition that were great!! Why do people choose to sing Beatles songs? If we notice not many people dared to do that because the Beatles are so unique of their kind....

    Like Bob Dylan, The Beatles wrote some great songs, and also like Dylan, they weren't very good musicians or singers. I thin kthat's why they are so heavily covered.

As well as Dylan and Baez, It reintroduced the Blues of both Mississippi John Hurt and Skip James to the world. If this hadn't happened, modern music would likely be quite different. The influence of this one event can't be over-emphasized. The following year at the same event came Dylan's first electric set, during which there was a mini-riot and Johnny Cash actually fought off some guys who intended to cut the electricity in protest at Dylan's electrification of "folk music".         Oh yes, I do remember that song. It's quite funky really with all that Hammond organ and percussion on it. She's a really good singer too.
        
        Finland is a lovely country and I'd like to go again. Last time was a few years ago and I was in Helsinki for a conference and I didn't get out of the city. I have a friend who lives in Turku and I really should go visit him at some point.

  This particular SONG (Nuit Blanche) was censored as well; apparently - my friend Nelley didn't have the RIGHT to make a painting of her face, because the face she used was from her WEDDING album that was seen on the web for nine months....
  
  Why do people posts wedding Albums on the web and seen by many people... it's sad when an Artist cannot use a FACE that was posted for so long to make a beautiful painting of it and a video of the painting...
  
  Yet, some more Canadian "DIVA FEVER" ... sometimes it makes me so proud not to be a young condescending Canadian...

The first time I heard that very same song was in Montreal at "Just pour Rire" last March, it sounded much better live... actually in the Beatles' cartoon movie that song is sung in many different ways and in one segment whereas one of the Beatles sings that very same song very close to Amanda's tone.... when I'll find it I will pots it.

The Yellow Submarine is an extremely difficult song to sing ''alone'' because there's a take and give-feedback in the original song -- you can't possible do alone, but I think Amanda Mabro does it pretty well with a slight penchant to a lullaby, she's has done numerous songs and numerous concerts and most of the time her fans are ecstatic to her new style - the whole variety she does is to my liking and you know me, I'm very fussy...

Did the video artist make fun of it or mock it? I can't see it, all I saw was a homage of her and the Beatle song voice....

    First of all I see that the singer has no communication with her mom whatsoever, since her mom and the artist have have done this to enhance the song with the artist's art without her approval, particularly in the "NUIT Blanche" song which I like very much... as I said in TARANAK's topic to this singer.....
    
    After I saw the video I mailed Nelly to know how she did it, and she told me about the paintings she used in her video and her upcoming exhibition in 2010 – so I begged her to do my two daughters as they are now -- and I want to reserve the painting for us at a reasonable price, we’ll acquire it after the exhibition is over – and she said she will get them both in one painting so it will be less pricey, but she won’t tell me how and if it will bear any resemblance to the children’s picture which I’m going to send of some snapshots Jerry took, he always take great photos -- only because she said she cannot predict what she herself will be able to do at this particular time ‘IF and WHEN’ she gets to create it ...
    
    And last and not least.... it saddens me very much to see the lack of appreciation to art, something ''I'' cannot do... no matter how much my mate tried to teach me, I'm not able to strike a note or draw a flower and Jerry is the best music teach in the world... I haven't got it....

Well here is the part of the song issue... sit down it might get very complicated and maybe even boring... (just for fun)

An Artist (youtube/1Cyberangels aka Nelley) made an amateur video on this particular unknown singer from Montreal...

Nelley saw this singer in a show; in an unknown club or whatever??? The artist (Nelley) loves Jazz and this kind of new stuff... so she bought the singer's CDs, and she wrote a couple of very nice and complimentary articles about the singer to share with her blog friends from all over the world – her friends that live in other countries have never heard of singer... (neither have I in Toronto)…

In the long run thanks to Nelley's word; a couple of her friends (YU and Anna) that live on a Mountain in the outskirts of Montreal drove 4x2 hours to see the singer's show whereas that night she sung the ''Yellow Submarine'' for the first time...

Apparently while she was there a couple of idiots sitting near her made faces and mocked when the singer sung the Yellow Submarine!!

The same nut over the web wrote a nasty article about the singer's rendition of that particular night and about the Beatles' song to put the singer down...

Then to counter attack (Sissi's blog) -- Anna also wrote an article to compliment the song and how it was nice to hear it in some kind of a soft Jazz lullaby tune... (Anna is another Jazz amateur; check Taranak's blog)

Anna's mom and the artist (Nelley) are very close friends, in the past Nelley made a lot of paintings for her children. Anna got the idea to make an amateur video about that Yel-Sub SONG but she did NOT have the time, so she suggested Nelley to do it, so good hearted Nelly did...

In order to encourage Nelly, good hearted and nice Diana (here) sent a huge range of pictures from Liverpool to encourage the artist (1Cyberangels aka Nelley) - so the video was created and apparently hell broke lose somewhere whereas I think I lost the real cause....

The singer found the video through search -- so -- she demanded that the video gets taken down and off the web – so it was axed… WHY? You lost me!!

I have no idea myself… maybe the singer changed her mind about the Yel-Sub song as this punk (Sissi) web-blogger influenced her that the song wasn’t any good????

I LIKED the new rendition of the SONG, I even said so twice -- and many others have said so!! Guess what? Even Delphine said so and she’s very picky with her comments on songs!!

Let’s see what transpired here because there’s more to it or something I missed!!

  I found your blog-post through Daridan's blog about censorship... as I see it many people have tried to uplift and promote the singer's livelihood but she missed the point and the only message she's got out of this was the negative side she's stuck in and not seeing anything in the video that would have brought up more exposure with Nelley's amateur art work!
  
  That kid has her mind clouded with something anxious to her own success... very often I see this happening among artists, it’s called ‘self-destruction’ because most of you have given her too much attention she can not handle, so back off and let this singer be on her own!!

I looked all over the Canadian music stores nearby where my store is, no one has got Amanda Mabroe's CD, and I am NOT going to order it through a freakin' AMERICAN site from Oregon ... why the freakin' HELL do I have to buy a Canadian product in an American site???

      That's certainly not a scandal... you need more than just this little photo snag from an unknown snotty Canadian... it's just an innocent feud on a picture, actually I have not seen the wedding Album, I've only seen the finished videos - that's all!!

If this singer, sings in a mass-public place and gets her wedding photos on the web-page and she's surprised to find her faced plastered all over the web, then most definitely she's in the wrong business!!

Maybe she should to be a teacher or a political bureaucrat... OOPS!!! Even that's a dangerous job to get on the web...

Anyone heard of the teacher in Bangkok that got slammed on the web with an i-phone video, one of the students posted in retaliation because the student was grounded for not doing homework?

Okay now, I got it, thanks for the explanation, I hate to see this happen but as you said in another post this could help the singer to get more publicity but it will most definitely crush the artist that did this 'AMATEUR' video.... she will be stigmatized as a photo thief... unless it's true that someone that knew about the photos gave the video creator the photos Album to use them... did the singer have a photo Album contract with the photographer?

Did the singer sign-up for exclusive photos session for the wedding album? If she didn't, than all photos actually still belong to the PHOTOGRAPHER and no one else...

  Apparently the artist that made this silly 'Amateur' video was given a link of the wedding photos by the singer's mom, knowingly that she was going to use it for a video! The video was firstly posted privately but later on put up publicly because the singer's mom wanted the singer to see the totally silly Yel-Sub video....
  
  Actually as things stand now, Mabroe's PR agent or whoever demanded that video gets put down has killed the golden goose.... because the artist had great plans for the singer.... remember now she [Nelley] worked for a Theatre company for many years and she knows how things work behind the stage and its sphere of influence. For one thing just look here how much it’s talked about and she isn’t even known in Music stores yet...

    Many of the great musicians aren't in the music stores, most of them get ripped off when they are... a CD has to be sold by several thousands to even start making money to live on modestly... I'm sure you know that.... but what a Musican can do is like Dani's brother, he is a great Musician but none of his stuff is in music store - he goes around Music store all by himself with packs of CD to place them into the "unknown optional rack" with the store's owner permission and sale conditions... all store allow that....and then there's ARKADE it's s an MP3 music store providing users the opportunity to buy AND sell music online... but I think it's American as well... Canadian should find ways to help Musician but apparently they don't so one has to take chances...

  For sure Amanda's rendition is extremely better than the other singers, but the song is CUT-short - and why is she so shy with the videos? These videos cannot be stolen or uploaded elsewhere... it's exclusive to her site.... the song is great but the video does not give her justice!! Videos should be taken at eye level and not stage levels...

      In a few words or less -- **Eye level** photography is just what it means… in other word you do not take shots or film people that shows under their chin views or nostrils… ever seen the BLAIR witch movie? Now that’s an example of extremely bad shots not to be done... ever... but it was great in the movie because it had to look like it was meant to be…
      
      Catch you later… anyways - ask Andrea or Hermione they are a fashion models and they have been shot a million times so they must know... check out the latest baby pictures Album Andrea’s husband has done on her with the kids on Flick (Dedorru’s account) … he is not a professional but that’s how one takes pictures… the camera has to be aimed at eye to eye level, because that’s how people see each other…. unless you’re a small gnome… anyways it will get better with time, who are we to judge anyways??? ---- I just blurred it out because that my main problem when artists send videos like that… most of the time I can’t even get a real shot of their faces… it tough to be an artist, it’s a constant critical world... but when they pay attention to details... it gets better every time... just like sport of horse training....

        The nostril issues? I think I saw A.m.a.n.da's NOSTRILS even in her wedding pictures, it's how her posture stands... I think she's very small and she tends to lean her face backwards to look up at people's eyes which is much higher, everyone standing near her in her wedding photos was so much taller especially the groom; she was the tiniest person there!!         Boitchy you are very observant, I read about the NOSTRILS here so I started a topic with my NOSTRIL scrapbook!!
        
        The nostril is the highest point of your face always edging something important that directs your attention to, maybe due to an aroma leading you to a mood to fine or bad. So don’t give it away in a photo telling everyone what your nose is leading your frame of mind.

    I think the only reason the video is cut into short segments and put up in three parts, it's because it was taken from three different angels and no one even bothered get the whole song into one decent montage... not everyone is able to do this and more over for FREE....
    
    maybe Nelley should do it, and then get apprehended for helping out!!!

BTW I saw A.m.a.n.d.a's entire Wedding Album and I wasn't given a link or anything... during Christmas time I happened to be online on FLKR uploading a few pix for my mom and dad to see when I read Nelley's topic about her music, all I did was write her name in FLK search and it came up... about 10 to 12 photos not more... nothing special looks like an amateur took those pic not a professional... and it's not like she was sitting with Robert Mugabe and Ghanaian Sally Hayfron... what's the big deal?

You've got a response to all of the supportive utter to mentioned here - -- on my blog, please feel free to voice your opinion considering ART and how you feel when you try to create something and not what gave me so much grief and rejection filled with new and lovely ideas...

Now I have woken up and seen my unforgivable blunder and forever be still in the night of silence. As the days linger on, other nights may come along where I could feel a similar splendour in another song by another singer but certainly not like 'Nuit Blanche' because I do not want to stay up all night all over again to create an image to a song!

The lesson learnt is artists feed other artists, and when an artist fights it on one side, sadly it dies out…

  Considering everything that has been said here and on Nelley's blog, I think after all USAbabe is right when she said that everything was on to a publicity stunt about Amanda Mabro, maybe people took my advice when I said that she needs a scandal to get more people talking about her and then check up on to her Montreal Fest and the one here in Toronto tomorrow!

I'd like to remind everyone, Nelly is not the only hand that feeds her, yes -- she might have helped out, but everyone going to the show and buying her CDs is another hand that feeds her, if she is going to tell fans what to do and what not to do, because capriciously she might akin one thing and not the other.... very soon she will lose them no matter how good she sings!!!!

Gloomy as it sounds I talk from experience from a couple of sailing buddies that used to be top notch but were very rude to their fans... so whenever they participated into competitions, fans snub them and they lost their audience as well as their sponsors!! That's how it happens!!

The only way Nelley can to get back at her is to ignore her and make a video of Michael Bublé - I just read somewhere that Mabro hates him!! I think he is AMAZING, and a good looking Canadian as well!!

  This singer lost me, anyone that behaves like she is the queen of Sheba censoring stuff loses me!!
  
  Not said enough, but here's my **LAST TAKE** (sem one I posted on my blog about the issue, as I did indeed investigated a whole lot about the painting issue!
  
  a ) The wedding Album was exposed from September 2007 to April 2008...
  
  b ) The album’s link was seen on many of the singers wed-sites, beside it could be also seen through search.
  
  c ) The link to the wedding photos were given to the Artist Nelly by the singers mom knowing that she was going to get a it done in a painting and also in a video of the painting.
  
  d ) Everyone that has seen the video found the whole composition tasteful and extremely gorgeous.
  
  e) Many think that this whole exposure was done to give the UNKOWN singer a **publicity stunt** … (I only found out about that one just recently before I got my topic up)
  
  f ) I didn’t get the privileged but countless people that know the artist said that they would give and arm and a leg to get their portraits done by this particular artist…
  
  g ) If you want to know more go and read the artist’s apology letter to the whole issue, so read it and stop consuming Kleenex boxes for much ado about nothing!! No one has committed a crime the artist was in her total rights.
  
  h ) I still believe that censoring art is dreadful and against freedom of speech and should not be applied in Canada! If you like censorship go live where people get censored without asking any questions…
